Coffe and music lovers rejoice - we can now reveal the winner of the first Coffee Music Project NYC.
Mornings would be so much harder without the radio and a cup of freshly brewed coffee and this combination of caffeine and music is enjoyed by people the whole world over.
The Coffee Music Project blends the coffee and music worlds into one, giving aspiring artists and songwriters a platform to share their passion for music and coffee culture, while raising money and awareness for Project Waterfall.
After several weeks of hard work and fantastic musical talent, it all came down to one night at Webster Hall in New York City –the final - with original coffee songs aplenty.
The audience loved every single act, whooping and cheering for the likes of the talented Jimmy Nash, Sierra Noble and Cal Kehoe, plus guest acts including James King.
However, it was Khaya who had the crowd shouting and cheering the most and although there were just a few points in it, the judges seemed to agree, awarding her first place in the 2015 competition.
1st place – Khaya
2nd place – Cal Kehoe
3rd place – Chloe Gasparini
The other talented finalists were:
- Sierra Noble
- Hilary Capps
- Phil Cohen
- Odane Whilby
- Alec Chambers
- Jimmy Nash
- Nic Hanson
- Kirsten Izer
Huge congratulations to Khaya who wins $1,500 and a trip to London for the London Coffee Festival (courtesy of Big Talent Group) and to all of the finalists and judges for their hard work and dedication.
Khaya will be performing with her fellow finalists at The New York Coffee Festival (Sept 25-27).
